SDES #2 Dia de los Muertos Enduro at Tish Tang was a thrilling day of speed and consistency. In stark contrast to the deluge of the 2016 ride, 2017 was prime time. Riders started up for their timed runs at 10:00am with a few riders doing pre 10 practice. Laps were taken until 5:00pm as riders climbed and turned runs at their own pace. The day warmed into the upper 70’s and with most of the trails insulating layer of leaves rolled back the legacy lines were bike park beautiful, getting a little better with each run. The course was taped to utilize all available switchbacks, pushing the times and exertion level up. SDES #2 is Saturday October 28th on the storied Tish Tang DH trail. Few of us put in some hard work to restore this Nor Cal classic after last winter’s storms. SDES #1 – Lacks Creek

Round #1 of the Super Duper Enduro Series was a great time this past weekend at Lacks Creek.  A solid and jolly turnout enjoyed wonderful weather as we struggled through the always arduous loop together. Trails were in loose and good condition. Fast times were posted by all and we got at least a couple all time fastest runs thanks to Steven Pearl who consistently laid down impressive stage times. There is shaping up a tight teenage battle in the top of the pack with Will Albertini and Denny Snyder duking it out stage by stage, this one will be too close to call until the last round I think. Ryan Reichlin was coming in hot and gave everybody something to chew on with his stage 1 time. Kira Rose impressed by riding many stages blind and holding down the ladies category with a very strong performance.
